6/21/2024 Update  I added a Coils option tab which also does spirals, v2.0.0

6/10/2024 Update As of v1.5, this program now handles English threads also.

This is a python add-in for Fusion 360 to draw customized metric or English screw threads. I did this to give me more flexibility with threads in fusion. You can have different angles for the top & bottom part of the thread as well a 0 or a negative angle for either or both, a different pitch for the thread and the helix. The thread profile is based on the diameter of the thread and the thread pitch. The distance between each thread is the pitch for the helix. I separated these in order to have larger offsets between the Male & Female threads. You can use either real offsets for the Male & Female thread or have the offset based on the diameter of the thread difference. The real offset will have the exact same gap between threads all the way around the thread profile. When using real offset you might have to make the helix pitch larger than the thread pitch.

I added a couple of test files for you to look at & print. Here is a link to the python add-in https://github.com/geodave810/P_ThreadTune
