Card Storage Box Labels With Customizable Text

These are customizable labels that can be fit over the edge of card storage boxes. I use them for my Magic the Gathering collection to allow me to quickly see what is inside of my card boxes.

Requirements

• OpenSCAD https://openscad.org/
• (Optional) MTG Font packs from https://mana.andrewgioia.com/ (for mana/card ability symbols) and https://keyrune.andrewgioia.com/ (for set symbols)

(Optional) Install MTG Set/Mana Fonts

For Set fonts, install https://keyrune.andrewgioia.com/

For Mana and Card symbols, install https://mana.andrewgioia.com/

Andrew's pages above have installation instructions for Windows, Linux, or MacOS

***Important for Windows Users*** OpenSCAD requires you to install fonts for ALL USERS in order to use them. Ensure you do this or they wont work in Windows! Use Google if you need help!

After the font packs are installed, restart OpenSCAD and input either "mana" or "keyrune" into the font1 or font2 parameters depending on which font you'd like to use on the desired tab. Then use andrewgioia's cheat sheets (see links below) to copy/paste the any symbol into the text1 or text2 parameters. The default value of the provided OpenSCAD file has the Mirage set symbol--if you installed the fonts correctly, you should see the palm tree symbol rendered!

Print Settings

• Any filament
• .2mm layer height
• 4 perimeters (to prevent any infill)
• 2mm brim is likely required unless you have really good adhesion
• Slow down your External Perimeter print speed for higher clarity text/set symbols. I have mine at 10mm/s for PETG/PLA which gives good results
• Use an opaque and non-glossy filament for best readability of text/symbols
• Do not print in the default orientation! See photo for proper print orientation.

Notes

• I will upload any .stl files to the STLs folder that I make for my own collection
