Description
Every year, the PTA at Valley Vista Elementary School in Petaluma, CA hosts a 3D Print contest. Students from all grades can submit their drawing for something that they would like to see created in Three Dimensions. The theme of the drawings is open ended, but drawings that incorporate school pride tend to be the most popular with the judges. When the judging is complete, I model the winning drawings in 3D using SolidWorks and 3D print them. This year I got a lot of help on the printing front by a fellow VV dad, Joe, who has a multicolor printer, which made the printing process much much easier :)
This model is a very cute Viking Puppy, designed by Maria F. I printed this one myself on my single color printers, so there are 0.1mm gaps between the differently colored parts. I print them separately and glue them in place. If you want to print this yourself on a multicolor printer, I think it may work fine. I expect the printer will just ignore or repair the 0.1mm gap. If that doesn't work, you can either print it in single color parts or you can edit the native SolidWorks or STEP files attached below.
The STL is many parts in one. You can separate the parts in your slicer.
Enjoy!
