Description

This is a 3D model I've made of the AH-64D Cyclic Grip, modeled after the one used in DCS's Apache module. The model itself was made in blender using general reference images and screen captures of the DCS model viewer.

Using the model viewer let me clip through in an orthographic camera to see most details. Here you can see the backside of the trigger guard.

This model is 3D print ready and includes both split and unsplit copies of the stick hollowed out and ready for electronics. Individual STL's are attached and can be thrown into your slicer of choice, and so is the blend file to make it easy to adapt to your needs.

In terms of electronics I've assumed two parts to be used:

The four hats are four-way RKJXT1 switches, these have the nice bonus of also being encoders and having a center push if you feel the need.

And the main push buttons I've used are Salecom T80-p. Purely because I had them lying around.

General assembly should be easy with a few screws. As of now I have only 3D printed all the pieces, not having the chance to wire up or fit more than the switches. I did have some part alignment issues, but I'd just chalk that up to using an early ender 3.

Letters are all extruded out and can be painted over to make clearer, this worked quite well on the test print and with my printers stock nozzle.

The trigger is a modified version of TheSimNet's universal trigger module, slightly scaled up to fit better and with thicker walls.

Cheers all, and I hope you enjoy!
