Vive Pro BMR Adapters

2x Tectonic TEBM35C10-4 BMR 2" Full-Range Speaker 4 Ohm

<1 meter of 20AWG 2-wire coupled wiring

Male and female wire spade connectors

Caveat emptor:

Since we are replacing the speakers, we will lose the external controls for volume and mute that are built into the Vive Pro ear speakers.

These are the same drivers as used by the Valve Index, but they will not sound as good, and may not even sound better than the stock speakers. Better audio requires a DSP and I am exploring solutions.

I have created Closed, Hybrid, and Open driver enclosure as these will provide different audio profiles. Please test them out and report your favorites. When swapping enclosures, please be extremely careful when removing the terminals – if they are stuck on hard enough you may irrecoverably damage the driver terminal and render it unusable.

I like the Ugreen USB-C to 3.5mm jack – but any converter that has an integrated DAC should suffice

It may be a little quiet – again, DSP needed.

Use a multimeter to determine which wires go to which speaker terminal when splicing to the 3.5mm male jack – colors are NOT universal. This is NOT optional.
