Updated 6/9/25
I've updated the lock so now it has a tab on the bottom to make “unlocking” the hook much easier.
While looking around for more economical hooks to use with my newly purchased Proslat, I saw quite a few on both Amazon and Ali Express that fit the bill. I ordered some( Atoola and Pybtool were the brands/stores I ordered from on Amazon but they look identical) I ended up with and found while they fit on the Proslat, they are pretty floppy. I primarily hang tools on mine and every time I would lift one away, the hook would flop or slide. This lock snaps in when you install the hook and provides some tension to secure the hook but still allows you to slide it horizontally with a little effort. To unlock the hook, you press over the round relief in the body while pulling the bottom of the hook down and out. I have a bit more fine tuning to do and will add an easier to use release tab but if you aren't taking your hooks on and off all the time, this works well and prints pretty quick. I use PLA and printed them with 5 top and bottom with 5 perimeters (Voron settings) but you can probably lean those numbers out and still have plenty of strength. 10-15% infill is plenty. No supports needed I have not tried this on any other brand of slatwall other than Proslat.
