Description

A small 2 channels audio mixer with volume control on both channels and the main output. I have been using mine for a couple of mounts with no issues.

The wiring diagram is included, as well as all of the STL files and the STEP files for each parts so that you can easily modify the model if you want (if you want to use different components for instance).

The 3D printed parts are relatively easy to print, the only trickier one is the main shell which needs a brim and supports (only on the build plate).

Electronic parts used:

  • Potentiometers : 3x ALPS RS6011DY-10KDX2, 10K stereo (dual gang) logarithmic potentiometers with 60mm track lenght (75x9x7 mm body) : https://www.tme.eu/be/en/details/rs6011dy-10kdx2/slide-potentiometers/alps/
  • Resistors : 6x 1k ohm resistors (any 1K resistor, 1/4W or more)
  • Audio jacks : 3x I used very basic 3.5mm audio jack sockets (https://www.tme.eu/be/en/details/jc-115/jack-connectors/), they're not particularly good (they're mostly made of plastic and feel pretty cheap when inserting audio jacks in them), if you want to use sockets, you can modify the STEP files of the rear cover to fit other sockets. I can also do the modifications for you if you want.
  • Wiring : any small gauge wiring should do, I used 24 AWG (0.25 mm^2) stranded wire.

Hardware used :

  • Rubber feet : https://www.tme.eu/be/en/details/nf-002/feet/fix-fasten/
  • Front and rear pannels screws : 6x M3x8 countersunk screws (https://www.tme.eu/be/en/details/b3x8_bn78/bolts/bossard/1109987/)
  • Screws for the feet : 4x M3x8 (I used non countersunk ones but the same screws as the ones for the front/rear panels will work too).
  • Nuts : 10x M3 nuts
