Description

Hello!

This is my first robotic project, so keep in mind it's not perfect and is created especially for beginners. Also please keep in mind you will need some soldering skills for this project and the assembly won't take a few minutes. Thanks!

As was said before, this robotic arm has an ultrasonic sensor on its base, so you can measure the distance between the arm and an object, and then, for example, grasp that object and manipulate it. This robotic arm is compatible with Arduino and in the assembly tutorial, I'm going to use the Arduino UNO board.

What you'll need (except the printed parts, of course):

  • 5x 9g micro servos (I used the SG90 servos)
  • screws that are included with the servos
  • 1x HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor (the HY-SRF05 sensor doesn't fit into the holder)
  • some male and female header pins (the amount of them is given in the assemble tutorial)
  • super glue (if needed)
  • soldering iron
  • jumper wires (for the ultrasonic sensor)
  • 6x 10 cm wires (for the extension of the servo wires)

The assembly tutorial is available in the PDF file below.

Thanks for your interest in my project, have a nice day!
