Description
A simple DIY ADS-B antenna for 1090MHz. Can also be used for different frequencies/wavelength. Refer to the required antenna length from literature.
Use a 180mm long piece of M16 installation pipe (16mm outer diameter, 14mm inner diameter).
Remove 69mm of the isolation from the coax wire and fold back the shield to the same length. This forms a simple coaxial dipole antenna similar to the usual commercial antennas. Reception >200NM is possible and measured on my setup.
Insert cable into pipe and fix with 2x bottom cover. Close top with top cover.
