Description
When i painted my Santa, i thought sealable pots for the acrylic would be nice. So i quickly designed them, printed them in DasFilament TPU and quickly realized… bad idea.
The first prints where full of holes. The TPU was too moist. I did keep it in container with silica, but that seemed to be not enough. I did not think TPU was that hydrophil. It kept popping in the nozzle all the time.
So i tried my hands on drying the TPU. I found the best result was to cut a good enough length of the spool, throw it in the oven at 80°C for 2-3h and the let it sit in a small bag with a good amout of silica for the weekend. And print directly out of this bag. The results are really nice this way.
There are two versions, a thick one for 0.8mm nozzles and the other for 0.4mm nozzle. But thick can also be printed in 0.4 of course.
I disabled retraction to reduce the posibility of a leak.
