Tillandsia Pod - Decayed Ancient Guardian Zelda BOTW
A tiny pod for Tillandsia / air plants - Decayed Ancient Guardian
A long time ago, this Ancient Guardian was defeated and now its decayed body is laying somewhere in Hyrule. Time to bring it to your home and make something nice out of it. ...like a Tillandsia Pod!
Decayed Ancient Guardian
Ancient Guardians in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" are ancient, mechanical constructs created by the Sheikah to combat the evil forces threatening Hyrule. These formidable machines, equipped with powerful lasers, were once protectors but became corrupted by Calamity Ganon. Their unique, intricate designs and sturdy, hollow structures make them ideal as pods for Tillandsia. This combination creates a visually stunning and imaginative display, merging the world of Zelda with natural elegance.
Tillandsia
Tillandsia, also known as air plants, are some of the coolest and most unique plants you can find! These amazing plants don't need soil to grow. Instead, they absorb water and nutrients directly from the air through their leaves. This makes them incredibly versatile and easy to care for. Just a light misting or a quick soak in water every one to two weeks keeps them happy. They thrive in indirect sunlight and can be placed almost anywhere – on driftwood, in a seashell, or even suspended in mid-air!
But that's not all! Tillandsia also help improve air quality by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. With over 600 species, each with its own unique appearance and vibrant blooms, these plants add a touch of natural beauty to any space. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, Tillandsia are sure to impress and delight with their low maintenance and stunning variety.
Tillandsia Maintenance
Tillandsia are incredibly low-maintenance plants that thrive with minimal care. For the best results, give them a light misting a few times a week or soak them in water for about 30 minutes every one to two weeks. Ensure they have good air circulation and place them in bright, indirect sunlight. These tips are just for those who want to get the most out of their plants – in reality, Tillandsia are quite happy with just a bit of occasional attention!

After Printing Steps
After printing, I suggest sanding the model a bit. After that, apply some acrylic color for the highlights and general look, and let it dry. Then spray some clear lacquer on and let it dry again. Now add some glue on the spot for the Tillandsia and let the glue harden. That's it! Now find a nice spot for it and enjoy.
For the glue, I recommend special plant glue so the Tillandsia will not be harmed. Some people just use regular glue, which could be fine too, but avoid hot glue, as this will definitely hurt the Tillandsia.
