Bearded Christmas gnome

December 27, 2022
Description
Print each part, see print instructions.
Cut away the wall from the beard with a knife.
Assemble the parts and then use a hair dryer/hot air gun to slowly heat up the beard while you use a hand to form it (use lowest setting). It's also possible to use warm water.
Be careful not to burn yourself.
Tip: put the hair dryer on the edge of a table so you can use both hands.
After you have formed the beard, you can use scissors to make some final adjustments.
The base of the hat is symmetric so you can print a mirrored version if you want some variation.
Print instructions
All parts has been optimized to not need any support.
The beard must be printed with a 0.2 layer height and a 0.4 nozzle. I've been told that a 0.6 nozzle also works.
The beard prints better with the classic perimeter generator in prusaslicer.
Some makers have used the following settings: Detect bridiging perimeters, Bridge flow ratio 1.5, retraction 0.
Other parts can be printed with any settings you want.
I printed the parts with 10% rectilinear infill and 0.2mm layer height.
