Description
11/14/2024: I have been asked the scale of this model. While I did not have a specific scale in mind when designing this (I wanted a small desk model) with a 215mm model based on an 8.8m X-37, this results in a 2.44% scale model. (1:41)
The front section has the black tiles but I did not try to separate the nose cap. You could color this section grey and color the nose cap in the slicer as black. The bottom of the aft section has the tiles but the whole section is a single color. I was going to paint the tiles black but I have delayed that option.
The port wing has the US Air Force symbol on it. Those colors are red, white and black. I used my Bambu X-1 to color it. The starboard wing has “USAF” in black.
For my models, using the Bambu X-1, I used a 0.4mm nozzle and I use PLA as the base filament but I use PETG for the support interface since they do do adhere to each other. This seems to generally make the support easy to remove cleanly.
