Had an Eviciv touch screen 7" that I wanted to build a case for to semi-enclose the Raspberry PI and POE hat. It's the type of screen that had the mounting tabs on at the top and bottom corners of the screen.
- Angles built into the back side of the case so it can rest on itself at an angle on a desk.
- Backside is a larger honeycomb pattern so I'm sure you could easily hang it on a wall if needed as well.
- Left and right sides are open for cables and accessing the buttons on back of screen.
- Top hole added to be able to stick finger or a tool in to disengage the network adapter.
Prints in two pieces so supports are not needed.
I used solder iron to sink in some thread inserts (knurled nuts) for screw attachments.
- Used (4) 2.5mm nuts for the screen attachment to the front of the case.
- Used (4) 3mm nuts for attaching the front and back of case together.
For screws
- used (4) 2.5mm x 6mm for the screen
- used (4) 3mm x 10mm to attach case together
