Description
This model is particularly helpful when your laundry detergent bottle gets low and the bottle has to be tilted while also pushing the button and holding the cup; it's one of those tasks that seems to require a 3rd hand. This model does the job of the 3rd hand by holding the cup for you.
I tried printing this “right side up” and burned through way too much filament because the supports were just too tall and ended up breaking off the build plate prematurely. I recommend printing it on its side using organic (tree) supports. Doing so will create some burring on the top mounting tabs as depicted in one of the photos. This is relatively easily filed off.
I used a couple of 3M command strips cut to size and placed under the top mounting tabs. At least for me, the curved tab underneath was strong enough to bend while sliding the model onto the shelf and yet not have the top tabs touch the shelf until it was fully pushed back.
I printed this in PLA with 20% infill and organic supports on the build plate only.
You don't need to print this twice unless you have multiple laundry rooms (?!), I printed the second one for a relative that saw it and wanted one.
