Description
During some scheduled paramotor maintenance, I decided to re-route my throttle cable. In the process I needed to readjust the throttle cable stop at the swivel. The task is an easy one, be it fiddly with the small parts and tight spaces. The manufacture's recommended spacing for the barrel to have slack is 4.5 mm, which I struggled to get right. So began this better mouse trap journey.
The spacing tool is designed so that is conforms to the swivel curve and has a slot for the thin end of the barrel to slid in. These two features allow it to stay in place while you set the slack and tighten the stopper with a 2 mm hex key.
With the small sizes of the spacing tool, an extension was added so that you can easily hold it. Adding additional functionality to the tool, the extension's dimensions were set to 4.5 mm by 4.5 mm so that it can be used as a check tool after installation of the stopper.
