Description

Soffit mount for Reolink cameras intended to allow flush appearance and clean cable passthrough on PoE models. I have tested this with CX410 PoE Camera but I believe the mounting pattern is the same for most Reolink camera.

The model is 3mm thick which gives enough stiffness to allow for a sturdy and wind-resistant mount, without being so thick as to be difficult to shim against the soffit. An additional screw can be added at the outer edge of the soffit for additional stiffness and security if desired.

The “straight” model is designed to fit 12" (305mm) soffit which is standard in the US. The 45 Angle or 22.5 Angle models should work depending on how your soffit is trimmed out.

Obviously I would recommend using ASA or some other UV resistant and outdoor safe material. CF or GF filament would help with some additional stiffness but would be difficult to color match to the soffit. I didn't notice a noticeable stiffness increase when printing 100% solid vs 25% infill so I would recommend sticking with a reasonable infill number. If you are using 0.4mm nozzle then I would recommend at least 6 walls to ensure the screw holes have enough thickness to allow a good bite from the screws. The screw holes are intentionally undersized to allow the screws to self-tap into them.

The center hole is designed for a 1" (25mm) drill bit and can be used as a template. You may wish to drill pilot holes for the screws especially if you soffit is aluminum. Mine is vinyl so the screws went right in. Optionally, you could add some silicone caulking or other sealant between the mount and the camera for an extra protectant against water intrusion, but I did not.
