Description
This is a cover/case I designed for the Roland AIRA S-1 Tweak Synth.
It was carefully designed to print well, snap on and stay securely attached, while protecting the knobs. A lot of effort went into designing it so that it's easy to pop the unit in.
The design should also work for the AIRA T-8 and AIRA J-6, but I have no way to check. Please let me know if you have one of those!
Please note: while the unit will fit into the cover placed upside down, this is not recommended, especially with PLA, as it will cause the clips to stretch/creep and the fit will become looser.
The pictures show a PLA print, and PLA works fine, but I'd recommend a more flexible material for this. I plan to print mine in ASA if I can get the right color.
As for slicer settings, with a 0.4mm nozzle, 2 walls is enough. The parts that are most stressed are the clips, and these will be solid anyway. I used 10% gyroid infill. The model uses 49.9g of filament this way.
