Japanese Lantern/Indoor Lamp

Japanese lantern inspired lamp. Indoor version with paper shoji doors. 

The base has a 40mm hole for a e27 fitting (see picture), this fitting has two rings that are used to keep it in place. 

There is also a version without hole, use negative volume to fit what you have available, or downsize and use a (ONLY LED!) tea light. 

Please send me a message if you have a different type of socket, I could try to edit the base to make it fit.

Instructions:

you will need to print:

• 1x Base
• 4x Corner
• 4x Sidepanel
• 1x Roof
• Paper, I used transparant paper, I think baking paper will work too. 
• glue, only to glue on the paper. I used super glue. 
• socket, see above. 
• lamp, only use LED, or it will probably get too hot.

Don't change the print orientation. No need for support. I used 3 perimiters and  15% Adaptive cubic (to save filament). 

Assembly: 

1. Glue the paper on the windows. I glued them on the top side of the print because the bottom has a nicer finish, but the panels are reversable. (or use ironing)
2. Insert the socket into the base. 
3. Insert the corners in the base. Watch the orientation, the part with the notches goes into the base and the incuts for the sidepanels should line up with the incuts on the base.
4. Insert the sideanels, this will secure the corners into the base.
5. Press on the roof, press corners together if needed.
