Trex Decking 1/2n Inch Overhang Tool - Without Facia Installed

Much like my first iteration of this product, this tool allows you to have a perfect ½" overhang on your picture frame trex deck boards.

This tool differs from the original in that you can lay your picture frame boards without first having to attach your facia boards. I added 5/8" of an inch (the thickness of Trex Facia board) to the portion that makes contact with your framing so that once you add your facia, it leaves you with a perfect ½ overhang.

Is this necessary? No. However, people work in different orders and I wanted to create a tool that would allow someone to add the facia after installing the picture frame border, as opposed to the other design that was intended to be used once the facia is already installed.

I also altered the width of the tail piece to be 4mm, which means you can use these to set the spacing of your first grooved deck board after the full picture frame border has been installed.
