Angular Bracket

February 22, 2025
Description
As stated in the summary, it is a simple angle bracket for supporting shelves or other types of platforms.
There are three variants depending on the fixing configuration to be used:
- Without holes: for sticking on both sides on flat surfaces.
- With two holes: for screwing on one side and gluing/supporting on the other.
- With four holes: for screwing on both sides.
These are the overall dimensions of the two-hole version:
Print Settings
Printed everything in PLA, without rafts or supports, at 0.2 mm resolution and 20% infill.
If you want to ensure more strength to the piece, you can change the "Wall Line Count" to around 4.
Also, to take advantage of the unsupported design, you'll want to print it sideways, like this:
Assembly
The mounting of the printed part will change depending on the use case and the selected variant.
The version without holes, gluing the two sides, is the easiest type of mounting, but may not hold if the weight is heavy enough.
I would recommend choosing the two-hole version, screwing one side to the wall or cabinet and supporting the shelf only on the top side. To keep it from sliding, you can use some double-sided tape.
