Description
2 versions of a pillar style adaptor to mount Leupold BX-1 Mckenzie HD 12x50 binoculars to a tripod. one small base, one larger based and higher taper for stability.
Both have a side loading nut trap in the bottom to take a ¼"-20 hex nut, and obviously a hole in the base for tripod bolt to thread through. (see cutaway image)
COULD(But I have none other to try) work on other binos, and will likely work on similar models from Leupold. Look at the gap you have between lens tubes, and the style of the “nut” where they are threaded.
Knurled knob included fits over a hex bolt, or phillips drive pan head bolt of ¼-20 size, that fits the threads into the binoculars. Bolt length is crucial for a tight fit, or stack some washers under the head to tighten fit(a rubber washer or two are great here). I simple leave the bolt in the binos when adaptor is not in use, to not lose it or any spacers.
