Description

This is a case for the popular GM328A transistor tester. The case is able to be printed with no supports, and requires Four M3 socket head screws and four M3 square nuts to assemble. The circuit board is captured between the top and bottom halves, and the screw terminals are exposed for easy access.

There are two bases, and you need only print one. The first has a hole for a battery wire to drop through, and the other does not. If you would like to use the battery option, please print the battery base and the battery trunk. For the option with the battery trunk, you will need 4 M3x40 screws. For the option without, you will need 4 M3x20 screws instead.

Also included is a handy rotary encoder knob to complete your project.

Below are the links to compatible hardware on Amazon.

  • M3x20 Socket Cap Screws
  • M3x40 Socket Cap Screws
  • M3 Square Nuts
  • GM328A Transistor Tester
  • 0.1uF Capacitor (For calibrating GM328A Transistor Tester)

Designed in Fusion 360 using measurements taken from my board. Of particular note, I did see that the drills in the board are not square. These are cheap boards with little to no quality control, as a result your board may not fit this case exactly. Let me know if you need an alternate mounting pattern.

I have included a very rough outline of the GM328A board as a fusion 360 source in case it helps anyone else out.
