Description
The ceiling of our garage is a kind of lower hanging insulation and very thin and brittle. Nevertheless, I wanted to have a cable rolling mechanism hanging from the ceiling, so that plugging & unplugging of our electric vehicle (EV) is more easy.
The model can easily be printed with pla. If you want to make it exactly as I did, you need M5 threaded brass inserts (3 pieces) and a M5 screw approximately 65mm long.
The retention device can easily be found on all the major sales platforms. I opted for one which is adjustable between 1.5kg and 3kg and it's perfectly fine. Pay attention though that it has a sufficiently long metal cable! Mine is a little short, but still okay.
Fusion360 model is included, so feel free to adjust to your own needs.
