Description
I wanted a simple outlet cover to keep dust (and the desiccant I have now spilled twice) out of the power strip next to my desk, but I didn't find one I liked.
this outlet cover is designed to:
the cover pieces are both designed to print without support with the small side down: the grip feature around the edges is 45°, so will print fine without support.
the plug insert prints with the prongs flat on the build plate. this orientation ensures that the layer lines are parallel to the plug insert legs, to minimize the risk of it breaking off.
the STL files are in the proper orientation to print; STEP files are included if you want to modify it for your own purpose
it prints in two parts: a cover body and a plug insert. choose the cover body that works for your situation. the plug insert will only go into the cover body one way, so if it doesn't fit flush, flip it over and try again.
