Vinyl Record Label Protector

A simple label protector to protect the label of vinyl records when washing them. Need to add a seal to the two discs. The model is made for seals with a diameter of 3mm. The parametric model is included so you can adapt it to you need (Fusion360).

For the seal a polyurethane belt cut to the length can be used. Cut it diagonally such that the two ends "join and overlap". To achieve a snug fit when the two ends join, cut the beginning diagonally and then push the belt such that the diagonal cut is on the side. Start pushing the belt in the part. This needs quite some force, but that guarantees a good fit. If it hurts your fingers use the flat side of a piece of metal, eg. a screw driver to push it in. Then when approaching the end, cut the belt such that it will just be the right length and angle to join the already set end using a cutting knife. 

You need to print the protector shell twice. When putting the protector on the record tie the screw carefully such that everything is snub, but not too tight. Test with a record that is not too important to you and start with little cleaning fluid before going all in :-). If you rinse your records under the water tap you want to really test this first and make sure you use 100% infill PETG. Not designed to seal if submerged in water or if water is flowing directly on the center piece from a tap. Use common sense.
