Description
I built a CNC machine and I did not like the fact that the Leadshinde closed loop nema 23 steppenmotors had an extra connection because the original wires were short. Therefor I designed and 3D printed this cover so I could directly solder the CNC motor wires to the print of the motors. this eliminates one extra fail point and looking very clean.
This does require some skill and finesse. The motor needs to be partially disassembled and you will expose the delicate position sensor. Also wrongly rewiring can cause damage and even fire if you super-mess-up!
This model has a little bit of space inside so you can tuck away the deployed individual wires and also includes Strain relieve for the outgoing cables.
It's a bit niche but I hope someone can use it
I printed in Prusament PETG with supports, 4 perimeters and 50% infill with a 0.4mm nozzle and .15mm layer height
