People asked me if it's possible so here you are. If you don't understand something here then buy MK3.5 upgrade instead.
Cheap (but not easy) unofficial upgrade of i3 MK3(S(+)) to MK3.3.
Advantages- faster print (input shaping)
- graphical display (print preview etc.)
- LAN/WiFi + Prusa connection
- cheaper than MK3.5 upgrade
| Disadvantages- no MMU
- mechanical and electrical work to do

Requirements
- Prusa i3 MK3(S(+))
- Prusa MINI display
- Prusa MINI mainboard (break the appendix if it's an original (not China) mainboard)
- Prusa MINI power supply (or cable with connector only)
- solid state relay (SSR) / MOSFET for 24 V (or more) DC on both sides and 8 A (or more)
- Z motor splitter (or just solder the cables) + cable to mainboard
Instructions
- remove display and mainboard from MK3
- mount MINI mainboard
- connect MK3 power supply (positive only) to SSR as power input
- bed heating from mainboard to SSR as controller
- connect bed to SSR as output (negative directly to MK3 power supply)
- connect Z motors to motor splitter and connect it to mainboard (Z motor)
- connect all other cables to MINI mainboard
- mount MINI display and connect it
- load modified FW (https://github.com/Snake-Edition/P32-FW/releases/tag/v6.0.1.2)
- turn MK3 power supply ON
- turn MINI mainboard ON
- double/triple click the knob
- install the FW
- use MK3.5 IS profile in Prusa Slicer
- optional - cut MINI power cord and connect it to MK3 power supply
