Update: Added Step file for the project.

Introducing the NXG3D LeGo CyberDeck:

Personally, I think Lenovo should have just made a nice keyboard case for the Legion Go, something like the ONEXPLAYER, so I made my own.

This mod will convert your Legion Go into a wee little tiny CyberDeck, the controllers can still be attached, but when the keyboard is attached, you cant currently access the bottom USB-C port, I will be looking at some right compact right angle connectors or maybe a ribbon cable to relocate it in a later release.

One nice feature of the case, is I have integrated audio redirectors so the sound is projected at you and not low flying birds?? what were the Lenovo engineers even thinking??

The threaded inserts and M3 bolts are optional, you can just use glue to assemble the magnetic keyboard.

  • 10 x 5mm Diameter x 4mm long Magnets

  • Some CA Adhesive for the magnets (Superglue)

  • 2 x M3 8,10 or 12mm BHS (Optional)

  • 2 x Threaded Inserts (Optional)

  • Legion Y700 Keyboard Case

The Keyboard attachment and logo can be printed on any machine in multi colour, I have made the logo 0.6mm deep, so 3 or 4 manual filament changes are all that’s needed, or you can just print in one colour if you don’t want the logo at all.

Just print in the same orientation as the images attached, you will need some supports for the case, nothing over the top, you can see in the image attached on what I have done.

I recommend making from PETG-CF or PC-CF don’t use ABS as it needs to have some flex to put the cover on and off.

You may not need all 10 magnets, 6 will probably do it, but I just wanted the keyboard to attach with some strength, pay attention to the magnet orientation and use some CA (Superglue) when installing them.

Just cut the Keyboard away from the rear case, the same as I have in the attached photo, I just used a steel ruler and an Olfa Knife, insert it into the slot, mark the screw holes, the remove and use 3mm drill bit and drill the marked holes, install the heat inserts, and assemble, or you can just glue the keyboard in, up to you.

I'll add some more photos soon as I assemble it.

When I have time I will also design some side covers for when you remove the controllers, but I dont have time for those at the moment.
