Description

I received an IP8M-DLB2998EW-AI dual lens security camera from Amcrest to test and developed a love-hate relationship with it. It is a decent camera but (1) it is designed to be mounted directly to a wall, and (2) there is no place inside the mount to stuff the cable/connector. I already have Amcrest dome-type cameras around my property, so why not just mount it on an existing wall mount? NOPE! The holes don't line up - not even close…

So, that's how we got here. This is literally just a hole-adapter-plate-thing to allow you to mount the IP8M-DLB2998EW-AI camera to the AMCPFB203W-B wall mount - by using the wall mount it allows you to stuff the cable/connector into it.

This utilizes three M4-10 screws that came with the wall mount, to attach the adapter to the wall mount, and then I used three M4-16 screws and nuts to attach the camera to the adapter. Order does matter as there is some overlap. FIRST, slide the M4-10 screws into their respective holes to mount to the wall mount, THEN attached the camera to the adapter with the three M4-16 screws and nuts. Once those are tightened, you can then feed the wire into the wall mount and screw in the three screws to the wall mount.

Once you do all that, you can connect the cable and mount it to your wall!

I recommend printing in PETG, 4-6 walls, 25% infill; print for strength. Good luck!
