10-1-2025 Update: I've got the pieces attached into 2 large sections (top and bottom). I used painter's tape to align everything as best I could and then slightly flexing the shield if needed when melting the pieces together, but I had some warping on a few parts. That's just a reality when using a glass bed sometimes, but that can easily be filled with some leftover plastic and a soldering iron. I don't have any pictures of the middle two steps, but I just taped a row, melted it together then taped two rows together and repeated the process. This is likely the only update for a while (as if this one was in a timely manner and not 4 months after being started) because sanding in 4°C to -12°C (39.2 to 10.4°Freedom) is not conducive to good health. And if anyone is annoyed by my dreadnought in the pictures, he's cute and I made him so I win.

This sucker is quite large at 63cm x 63cm (just over 2ft in freedom units) at its longest and widest points, and it should be pretty accurate as I used a photo that someone had counted pixels on as a size reference. It's also fairly accurate thickness-wise at exactly 3cm (~1 ¼" in freedom units).

There's one version that does have the strap holes and one version that doesn't just in case someone wants more of a wall/floor decoration than a wearable prop.

My favorite detail I found while looking for pictures was the fact that the straps are in line with each other vertically as opposed to horizontally like Captain America's shield because one uses their shield defensively and the other uses theirs as a 300kg extension of their arm.

I cut the version with the strap loops since the other one would be easier to cut to your own liking, and using Windows 3D Builder can repair whatever errors PrusaSlicer won't. I had no idea how to cut this up, so if I did it poorly or you see a better way to do it then please by all means do so (and post it as a remix if you'd like to help others with the printing process), but this is the best way that I could figure out how to do so. I made a version for smaller printers like the Prusa Mini and Ender 2 (~155 in each direction) that has 14 pieces and a version for larger printers like the CR-10 (~310 in each direction but they fit diagonally on the plate) that has 4 pieces.
