Every year on New Year's Day, I make cookies for my local arthouse cinema. The cookies use props and characters from films the theater screened the previous year.
For New Year's 2023, I made this “Auditor of the Year” trophy cookie from Everything Everywhere All at Once. If you know, you know. (I also made cookies for Nope and The Banshees of Inisherin. Let me know if you want those. See the pictures for more info.)
See also my Marcel the Shell and Oppenheimer cookie cutters.
You can use any cookie recipe, but gingerbread tends to expand less than sugar cookies. I recommend cooling the unbaked cookies in the fridge for about 30 minutes before popping them in the oven.
Print all parts with 0.2mm layer height or smaller. No supports are needed.
How to use:
When cutting the cookies, I recommend oiling the cutters or sprinkling with flour to keep them from sticking to the cookies. It's especially tricky with the small bits. I use small tools to push on the small bits to keep the dough from breaking there.
First use the outer cutter to cut the shapes. Then use the detail cutter to mark the inner lines. Don't press the details all the way through. It will take a few practice cookies to get the detail lines at a desirable depth.
Use the reference images to help color the cookies and let me know if you have any questions.
