Brace the Z-axis of your Ender 3 V3 SE, add storage bins and cable management.
Non destructive, no funky drilling, no heat inserts.
Quick and easy to build, divided into 4 sections -
A) Front Storage
B) Rear Brace
C) Cable Clips - Optional
D) Filament Guide - Optional
You can attach the front storage without the rear brace, and vice-versa.
Not tested on an Ender 3 V3 KE, but it should fit since the dimensions are the same.
PRINT SETTINGS RECOMMENDATION
PETG (Tough PLA should work too).
30-50% infill. At least 3 walls, 3 shell layers.
0.2-0.24mm layer height.
Requires a little bit of support for the top plate screw holes (Sections B & D).
PARTS LIST (AFFILIATE LINKS)
These are my affiliate links, they do not cost more. But I will make a small commission for every sale, that will help to offset some costs of my future projects.
There are 2 versions of the base plate, Gridfinity and Lego. Gridfinity is 1X4 and Lego is 6X20. Take note, I have *not tested the Lego base plate*.
P.S. A small shoutout - This triangle brace seems to be a good alternative if you don't need the front storage bins.
B) REAR Z-AXIS BRACE
You will need:
2 X Y-Axis Rods (Diameter 8mm, Length 34cm).
2 X M3-12 Screws
4 X M3-8 Screws
Double-sided Mounting Tape
I have upgraded my Y-axis to linear rails and reused the rods to brace the Z-axis. As an alternative, you can buy cheap ABS rods from Amazon/AliExpress/eBay.
