Description
I had a couple of HP Z2 Mini G9 workstations that came with a A2000 GPU but needed to have SFP+ ports available. Even though HP advertises that the chassis is “standard low profile bracket compatible”, this turns out to be a blatant lie.
The StarTech SFP+ network card we ordered (PEX20000SFPI) came with a standard low profile bracket, however there was no way to fit it into the cage that the GPU was mounted in. I quickly modeled this bracket in order to provide a bit more support to the network card.
As this is a small PCIe card, and there is no lock-in mechanism, and the chassis doesn't offer any support, it is still possible to wiggle the card out of the slot if you try hard, however at least this closes the chassis and makes the card usable.
This was printed in PCCF in order to handle the potentially higher temperatures from the computer, and because it looks awesome.
