Description
I needed a way to mount a more powerful fan to the exhaust on my 3d printer so I could print ABS and ASA without smelling them and poisoning myself. I went with a variable speed 12032 fan and some inexpensive high quality dust collection hose.
The flanged plate is designed for a light press fit in an 80mm x 20mm hole (like the one in this model QIDI Tech X-Plus3 BackPanel MOD Kit )
Or you can just mount it flat with the non-flanged plate - in which case you are going to want 3x M4x50 screws.
Print everything flat on the bed so it doesn't need supports. Filament choice probably doesn't matter. I'd recommend PETG as a minimum for potential UV and mild heat resistance.
BOM:
7x M4 hex nuts
3x M4x40 or 3x M4x50 if mounting it flat.
4x M4x10
