Description
Update: This Version 1 remains fully usable. |
|---|
This is a larger and more decorative remix of a moon lamp originally designed by Martin Kozak.
The moon is split into four separate pieces and has a diameter of almost 50 cm.
I also designed a custom frame that is more subtle than the original and better matches the modified moon shape.
To achieve the best surface quality, the moon parts were printed flat on the build plate using variable layer height.
No supports are needed.
Materials used:
PLA (matte recommended for frame)
Superglue
Joint sealant (to fill small gaps between the moon pieces)
Spray paint (light gray or beige recommended, after filling the gaps)
MDF board thickness 3mm (to cut a circle of 50.2 cm diameter to glue all the pieces on and add strength)
1.53m LED strip max 9mm width (COB LED strips are recommended for a more uniform light output)
Frame/painting hook
