Description

I wanted to have a neat way to display and store my drones on my shelf, but i wanted it to be modular and easy to print. I tried to find something fitting online, but couldn't find anything that really met my expectations, so i hopped into FreeCad.

My goal was to make something functional that is easy to print without any supports that could securely hold my Tinywhoops without any hassle. My idea was to use the battery holder of my whoops as anchor to hold the drones on the stand, so i modeled the adapters to easily slide into the battery holder with some chamfers so it wouldn't catch on the edges. I made two variants of the holder - one for 300mah sized 1S holders (for 65mm Tinywhoops), one for 550mah sized 1S LiPos (for 75mm Tinywhoops) and one for 550mah sized 2S LiPos (for 75 and 85mm Tinywhoops).

For the printing orientation just print the base standing upright and the adapters laying on their sides. With this orientation the Layerlines also improve the sliding of the adapter into the Battery holder and onto the base. I also made a variation of the base with some ears (as seen in the screenshot below) on the pointy edges to help with potentially lifting edges. They can be snipped of after printing.

I hope you guys enjoy this stand as much as I do! I would really appreciate some feedback :)
