Description
This design is to prevent other aquatic species from eating all the bottom-feeder food. If you have a community tank with multiple species, this feeder cage is a must have.
It helps your smaller species obtain the necessary nutrients they need from the food, without having to worry about larger species taking over and eating it all.
The holes are measured to fit miniature shrimp species, dwarf crayfish, fish-fry, juvenile snails and other species of this size.
There are ramp options available as well, from 1-4 ramps and the base model with no ramps.
Measurements of the model (inches):Â 2.0" base diameter
Diameter of the Holes: Â square holes 0.40", round holes 0.2"
Diameter of the Tube Opening: Â 1.0"Â
Supports not required for base model, but are required for the ramp versions!
Note:
For aquatic use, it is recommended to use food-safe PETG filament. I am using flashforge PETG which is made from corn, so I don't have to worry about chemicals leeching into the water or overtime deterioration.
(This model was test-printed with ASA filament, and will not be used for my pets)
