Description
After trying a few other types that didn't really work for me I designed this one. It fits snugly into the existing lid surround and the lid position stays the same and fits the light bar surround snugly.
It is designed for the following “Display Lighting” from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09ZL1KLWN?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
It is a 12Vdc system so may look at having the Qidi lighting switch a relay to turn it on at a later date.
The side rails are printed vertically and I recommend “painting” in some supports between the 2 front and rear rails.
The 2 side rails were printed vertically with “organic” supports.
The 4 corner pieces ( 2 off each) were printed with supports “snug” and were quite easy to remove.
There is no need to glue it together as the LED light fittings protrude into each corner and with the snug fit into the lid recess it stays in place well.
On both side rails there is a 2X3 channel and either side can be used to fit the cable from the front (door side" fitting, no need to secure it as the lid recess return shelf covers the slot when in place.
My test print was done with unbranded PETG with default Qidi PETG settings (except for the supports. Once fully tested ( Heat being the main issue as I print mostly with ABS) will look at re-printing with filament with a high with something like PA12-CF although ABS-GF25, which I have a roll of will probably do.
