Modular Cable Management Clips for 2020 Extrusions

If you are looking for a solution for your cable management that 

• is functional
• gives your Voron a clean look (that it clearly deserves 😎)
• is flexible, easy to handle and modify

Maybe this is something for you!

What I use the clips for:

• The cable management under the bed for Nevermore,  two bed fans and Z-end-stop
• Adding a JST plug to the gantry for the chamber thermistor
• Guiding the USB cable from the Camera into the 2020 front profile
• Wiring of the exhaust fan
• Keeping cables in place and away from the Z-belts which are going into the electronics compartment
• ….. and some more

Of course you absolutely must combine it with the original model that comes with a Voron logo (and look for other logo versions if you like)!

The Different Models

Standard Clips

Well, not much to say, quite obvious what the different standard clips do. Print a few and play around.

JST-Connector

Solder the wires to the JST-Connector (XH-2A) and carefully press it in.

Electronics Compartment Clips

The medium and large version required thicker walls as otherwise they would just bend too easily to hold in place. Make sure you have set perimeters so they are printed solid.

Printing

Just use your Voron settings and you are fine.

Print Support (!)

Some of the clips have a 2-part design, where the bottom part needs to flex (for the gripping mechanism to work) and the upper part provides the end-cap and/or cable outlet. There is build-in support between the two parts so you do not need to add support here. It will easily break free on first use.

However, for the cable outlets in some of the clips, there is no built-in support yet (maybe I will add it later). So you will need to add support (where there are cable outlets) in the slicer. Don't worry, won't be an issue

Attribution

All the clips are based on this really nice model and it has the Voron Logo on top so you definitely also want to use it for the finishing touch!
