Description
Continuing with the project of recreating the National Mall in Washington D.C. for the MiniWorld3D catalog, here is the Jefferson Memorial, modeled by Dany Sánchez .
The Jefferson Memorial is a national memorial in Washington, D.C., built in honor of Thomas Jefferson, the principal author of the United States Declaration of Independence, a central intellectual force behind the American Revolution, and the nation's third president.
The Jefferson Memorial is built in neoclassical style and is situated on the shore of the Potomac River. It was designed by John Russell Pope. Construction on the memorial began in 1939 and was completed in 1943. Pope made references to the Roman Pantheon and to Jefferson's own design for the rotunda at the University of Virginia as inspirations for the memorial's aesthetics.
The Jefferson Memorial is composed of circular marble steps, a portico, a circular colonnade of Ionic order columns, and a shallow dome. The building is open to the elements. It has a diameter of approximately 165 feet (50 m) (from Wikipedia).

A split version is provided, so that the roof can be printed separately and fitted atop the structure. This also allows to see the interior.
Note: the full assembly version includes the statue, based on a decimation of https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-statue-of-thomas-gainsborough-76580 in lieu of an actual model of the Jefferson statue in the Memorial, for which no digital file was found.
For the split version, please download, scale down and print this or any other statue model that matches your liking.
