Description

Achieve precise mortise centering on 12mm stock instead of the lowest 16mm setting the tool offers out of the box with this custom jig designed for the Festool Domino DF500.

Perfect for non-structural projects, small boxes, and other fine woodworking projects. This versatile jig enables alignment for glue-ups of thinner stock.
Using 12mm stock instead of 16mm reduces weight and the amount of wood used by 25%.

Easily screw the jig on a work surface, screw on a piece of scrap and clamp it in a vice, or attach it to an MFT table using an M8 bolt and nut.

You could do this with a shim on your work surface, but that's way less stable, repeatable and practical, especially if you have to make a lot of joints.

This affordable accessory will enhance your Domino DF500 experience and enables you to use it on more, and finer projects.

In the 3 minute video below I explain exactly how to use this jig.

Printer settings I used:

  • PETG
  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • Use supports
  • 4 perimeters
  • Cubic infill
  • 15% infill + 100 infill percent in bolt areas (see picture below).
