Description
[UPDATE]
Lightweight type is added. The thickness of the body is 1.3mm (2.0mm for golf balls). Lightweight type bodies should be printed with 100% infill. Caps are common and should be printed with 20% infill.
Comparison between the normal type and the lightweight type is shown in the attached table.
----------------------------------------------------
The asalato I designed consists of two parts. The body and the cap that screws onto it.
The cap is large enough to hold dry beans inside the body, but not so large that it detracts from the overall image of the asalato.
They come in four sizes: L (52mm), M (49mm), S (46mm), and Kids (38mm).
The body comes in three types; 1. plain, 2. Voronoi, and 3. golf ball.
Voronoi was created using the following steps
1. an obj format file named "asalato XXmm XXmm voronoi body base.obj" is processed by the free online service of "voronator.com."
2. convert the ply format file generated by the site to obj format (various online services offer this functionality). 3. convert the file to obj format (various online services offer this function).
3. import the converted obj file into 3D Cad and combine it with the body.
You can also process the plain body in 3D cad to create your unique asalato.
Support and BRIM are required when printing a body; set Support Overhang Angle to 75%.
Cap does not require support or BRIM.
The L, M, and S use a 5mm rope, while the Kids use a 4mm rope.
There is a groove for screwing the cap using a coin, but be careful not to tighten it too hard.
