Description

I put this design together recently for a commissioned job, and I'm sharing a generic version of it here. I plan to use these at my booth at an upcoming Makerfest.

Provided is a frame for a simple “tent”-style table sign and a basic tray/bin, each with dovetail slots for nameplates/placards which are secured in the slot with 10x3 magnets.

Multiple sign tents can be stacked for easy carry – the stack fits inside of the provided tray, and an embedded ¼-20 nut allows the whole stack to be clamped together for transport using a piece of threaded rod.

Only a blank nameplate is provided here –– your own custom logos and text can be easily added as embossed/debossed or embedded features in the slicer, and multi-color printing can be easily achieved either by layer pauses or with a filament-changing system like the Prusa MMU or Bambu AMS.

Tip: you can use inexpensive, self-adhesive NFC tags (NTAG21x) attached on the underside of the nameplates for a “tap here for more info” feature.

--

All parts should print well with 0.4, 0.6, 0.8mm nozzles and relatively standard wall/infill settings.

Tray - print in obvious orientation. Use auto supports or paint manual supports onto underside of dovetail lip and hole for ¼-20 nut.

Nameplate - print flat on large face. No supports required in magnet holes.

Sign Frame - print on side per STL default. No supports.

Magnets should press-fit but may benefit from a dab of CA glue. Be careful to set polarity appropriately.
