I made this alternative mount, because I didnt like the way the original looked and that the cable went straight down from the handlebars. For this mod you only need a single M4 nut. The other fasteners are reused from the original. This process is also completely reversible, so you dont have to worry about not liking it. You can always go back.
What you need:
1x M4 nut
3D printer and some durable filament (PETG/ABS/ASA etc.)
RockShox PopLoc lever
Assembly and installation:
print 1x handlebar clamp and 1x lever cover
press a M4 nut into the hex hole in the printed lever cover
remove the original lever from your handle
remove the cable and the cable housing from the original lever
remove the ring, the clamp bolt and the 2 self tapping screws from the original lever
replace the original aluminium cover with the printed cover
reinstall the self tapping screws and the ring
use the the printed clamp and the clamp bolt to mount the lever to your handlebars
