Description
A simple adapter to fit a 2.5 inch SSD or laptop HDD to a PC case with mounts only for 3.5 inch hard drives.
Sadly do not have a photo of this one, since it was specially made for a customer and then never seen again. So here are some OpenSCAD screenshots instead.
Requires 6x M3 nuts to assemble, just insert them into the 6 holes on the sides. And, of course, 4x M3 screws for mounting the SSD/laptop HDD to the adapter and then another 4-6x M3 screws for mounting the adapter to a PC case.
Note that after print, the screw holes are very likely going to be filled up with garbage filament, because the printer would have tried to print in mid-air, however, I recommend leaving it in the holes (in reasonable amount), because it provides extra tension on the screws.
I recommend using brims on this one, I have had one of the pointy bits at the end (where the circle hole merges into the walls on the sides) lift up from the plate during printing, and it was definitely not fun holding it down during printing. (please, do not do this)
