3D Printed Filament Spool Holder v2

Changes to previous version: replaced rounded edges with chamfered edges and split the main holder arm into two so it can be printed flat giving it more strength.

Update: V2.1 now also includes a small plate intended to be printed at 100% infill which is designed to spread the load from the screws across the bottom to lower peak stress on the material. the V2.1 3mf includes all parts in one file.

Update: V2.2 enlarged the hole diameter from 4mm to 4.5mm to make it easier for screws to fit through

Update: V2.3 Removed rounded section from one of the sides due to printability issues. also added alignment guides.

Update: V2.4 A few smaller changes here and there…

Update: V2.4B Added a small version of the spool holder. size is matched to the stock creality holder. this version is meant for installations where space is limited.

Some Printers come with weak bendy spool holders… and some come without one at all…

This Holder can be attached via T Nuts to any V- or T-Slot Extrusion.

It can hold a full 1kg spool just fine in my experience.

Assembly: print all three parts and glue the holder into the arm then glue the backplate to keep everything in place. then let the glue dry.

I recommend to print with at least 3 perimeters and 20% infill (i used Gyroid)
