mele quieter4c shelf for ioptron GEM45 on literoc tripod.

I am of the “keep everything off the OTA” camp vs. “put everything on the OTA but the kitchen sink” camp.

With that in mind I designed and printed the models you see on this page.  

I share the mele with a “permanent”  iOptron 360 tri-pier in the back yard, and an iOptron LiteRoc tripod for the road.  The mele shelf fits a dove track system on both for easy and rapid removal

With the mount on the tripod, it forms a groove of sorts between the mount and tripod.  The ring has a lip on the lower inside diameter to fit in this groove making it more secure.  The ring joins a dovetail track with the same dimensions the iOptron 360 tri-pier shelf model on this page.  All screws are M3 socket heads with the exception of the ring tightener which is M5.  Matching brass heated inserts for all.
