Webbing Clip - mod your GSI Outdoors Infinity mug

I like the GSI Infinity camping mug for early morning hikes with my coffee, but it when you clip it to your bag empty it flips upside down and the inner cup can slip out*. Add this clip and stitch the webbing handle closed at the top and you'll never have that issue. Clip fits 18 mm (¾") webbing well. The clip will engage with 25mm (1") webbing or smaller. Weighs just 3g.

Print Directions | Recommend PETG or ABS material. Prints well flat on the bed. Recommend printing with all perimeters, so set to 4 perimeters and you should be good. Infill amount won't matter. 0.6 nozzle prints great, smaller sizes will as well. 

Clip_18mm_retrofit_2P03-0 is what you want to mod a GSI mug without having to remove any stitching. It has an opening in one of the cross bars to allow you to slip the webbing in. It's designed to be a pretty tight fit. 

Clip_18mm_sew_2P03-10 is a version that could be sewn into a new project should you want a clip like this for some other purpose if you're making your own gear.

Assembly | Print retrofit clip, slip into position at the top of the handle. Stitch the handle into a tight closed loop across the top as shown. If using a sewing machine, a zipper foot helps. Or you can hand stitch with needle and thread easy enough.

* I have come close to this happening to me when using a carabiner on the stock mug handle and came up with this simple mod to solve the problem. When hiking the Foothills Trail in 2023 I saw this happen with a fellow backpacker, I found an inner cup on the trail and picked up the cup figuring what probably happened. I came across the guy further down the trail with the empty outter sleeve and gave it back to him. He was grateful and lucky. With this mod you won't have to worry.
