Description
Proven on the trail, this is a convenient and lightweight solution for hydration in the outdoors. Great for work or school, too.
Attaches with a standard zip tie that tucks into a recess to hold it in place and out of the way.
Hook it to your waistbelt, chest strap or the edge of your pocket if you’re just kicking around town.
Nalgene bottles are great for car camping or school, but they weigh 175 grams (6 ounces) empty!! That‘s ¾ of a pound of plastic if you’re carrying 2 bottles. Cut that to about 50 grams each with this convenient solution - saving about 250 g (9 ounces) for 2 bottles, that’s a huge savings toward an ultralight kit.
Fits:
Print directions | PETG material suggested. Print with 3 perimeters, .2mm layer height or smaller looks best. Place one flat surface on the bed. Prints clean with no suports required.
Assembly and care | Use a standard UL type 21S zip tie like these, typically 8" and 50 or 75lb rated. Orient with the loose “tag” end coming through the hole as shown in the detail pic. Use needle nose pliers to pull it firmly for a solid attachment to the bottle that doesn't tilt or rotate. Trim the extra length of the zip tie off with flush cutters. Or if you use wire cutters or scissors, trim it flush with an Xacto or razor blade.
Recommend hand washing as a hot dishwasher allows the nylon zip tie to stretch a little bit. A tight fit to the bottle is best.
